Hajjat Medina Naham Ojale, the Director Finance and Administration – NRM joined thousands of Moje Community Cultural and Development Association (MCCDA) for their cultural festival in Imgbokolo, Democratic Republic of Congo. Moje Community is an association of tribes comprising of Kakwa Uganda, Kakwa South Sudan and Kakwa Democratic Republic Congo. The Association was incepted in 2020 with core values of harmonious living, peaceful coexistence, unity and togetherness.
Speaking to the members of the association, DAF extended her heartfelt greetings and gratitude to the leaders and members of Moje Community Cultural and Development Association for organizing such a brilliant festival for reunion and shared identity, culture and values. She stressed that Unity is the cornerstone of a community, and it is through coming together that a community can overcome challenges and thrive.
“In these times, I urge each of you to have faith in God. It is in our belief and trust in Allah that we find hope and resilience. Let us inspire one another and encourage a spirit of togetherness and support, ensuring that we uplift one another in our endeavors”, Hajjat Medina added.
The Director emphasized the need for proper upbringing of children, citing that it’s the responsibility of a community to nurture children in an environment free from the influences of alcohol, smoking, and other harmful substances such as mirungi and challenged parents to instill strong values and life skills that will lead their children to become responsible and productive members of society.
She also encouraged the Moje Community members to actively pursue opportunities available through government programs, like the Parish Development Model (PDM), stressing that the programs are designed to empower the community, enhance livelihoods, and facilitate sustainable development.
The DAF extended her humble contribution of two million Ugandan shillings (2m) towards coordination and other future activities of Moje Community Cultural and Development Association.
The members lauded Hajjat Medina Naham Ojale for being exemplary and for always honoring their invitation for such cultural events to identify with clan members and thanked her for setting a rare precedence by being a down-to-earth, selfless, and disciplined woman despite the nature of her work and position, and challenged her fellow women to emulate her.
