Patrick Ogwang Obura, a young candidate for the Oyam South MP seat in 2026, has made a significant impact by addressing critical needs in Myene and Kamdini. The community had been struggling, with residents walking miles daily to fetch water due to a broken borehole in Minakulu, and local churches in disrepair, leading to dwindling congregations.
Through his representative, Kenneth Ayuku, Obura provided the much-needed support to repair the borehole, restoring access to clean water for the community. He also contributed funds for the renovation of PCU Myene Assembly and Kamdini PAG Town Church, giving these places of worship a new lease on life.
The community responded with overwhelming gratitude, gathering in prayer for Obura. An elderly woman expressed the collective sentiment, calling Obura “God-sent” for bringing relief and hope back to the area. Obura’s actions have not only met immediate needs but have also demonstrated his genuine commitment to the well-being of his constituents, making him a respected and hopeful figure in the upcoming elections.
