On July 28, 2024, Patrick Ogwang Obura demonstrated his commitment to the development of the Oyam South constituency by supporting the construction of Egwang PAG church Adyeda assembly in Loro Sub-county and Okule PAG church in Minakulu Sub-county. Represented by Kenneth Ayuku in Loro and Tadeo Okello in Minakulu, Ogwang Obura’s contributions were well received by the local communities.
During the fundraising events, Christians who attended both gatherings expressed their gratitude and unanimously resolved to continue praying for and supporting Patrick Ogwang Obura as their sole candidate for the Oyam South constituency parliamentary election in 2026. This shows of Obura’s influence and dedication to his constituency, reinforcing his position as a key political figure in the region.
Esther Akello, an elderly woman from the community, praised Obura, calling him the most diplomatic and democratic person suitable for the parliamentary seat. “He doesn’t lie and he delivers on all his promises. That’s what we need in an MP,” she remarked. Ogwang Obura’s actions and integrity resonate with the people, further solidifying his reputation as a trustworthy and effective leader.
