Opul Skilling Foundation Africa (OSFA) and Quality Education Consultancy Ltd (QECL) have collaborated with Serere District Local Government to train technical staff on innovative mindset transformation and entrepreneurship driving forces for starting cottage industries in Serere.
The initiative according to the trainers aims at creating 50,000 start-ups, 50,000 business acceleration programs by 2026, and generate 20,000 jobs through a revenue enhancement strategy.
Notably, the local government relies heavily on central government funding, with approximately 90% of revenue generated from this source and only 10% locally generated.
Mr. Joseph Opul the Executive Director Quality Education Consultancy ratified Mr. Okaka Geoffrey, the Chief Administrative Officer Serere, LCV Chairman Steven Ochola, and Mr. Adiama John Robert Ekaju, the RDC Serere for organizing this training.
“RDC Adiama has made significant contributions to the development of our country, and I strongly believe that he deserves a larger platform to train and mentor more Ugandans. I implore His Excellency Yoweri Museveni to consider giving him a national assignment in the future, where he can utilize his skills and expertise to serve the nation even better,” He mentioned.
