Nwoya District has officially welcomed Osborn Oceng Geoffrey as the new Resident District Commissioner (RDC). During the handover ceremony, Oceng expressed his gratitude to President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for entrusting him with this critical role, replacing Omara Christopher, who has been transfered to Otuke District.
In his inaugural address, Oceng highlighted the importance of teamwork in driving the district forward. “I believe in the power of collective effort. Together, we can achieve great things for the people of Nwoya,” he stated.
The technical team and District Chairperson warmly received Oceng, acknowledging his reputation as a diligent and work-oriented leader. They assured him of their full support, predicting a smooth tenure. “We know him as someone who gets things done, and we are confident that his leadership will bring positive change to our district,” said Orach the District Chairperson.
Oceng’s arrival in Nwoya marks a new chapter for the district once again with hopes high for continued progress and development under his stewardship.
