Katakwi – Otuko Augustine, a prominent contender for the Ngariam County parliamentary seat, has vehemently rejected the rumors and allegations initiated by his political rivals, branding them as “cheap and useless politics.”
In a strongly worded message shared on the popular Teso WhatsApp group “Aribabai,” Otuko directly addressed one of the main propagators of the rumors.
“I’m telling you my brother Onong to relax and stop wasting your time with cheap politics,” he remarked.
Adding, “Why do you people fear me and my shadow? I must be a thorn in your side, even when I’m not present in the constituency.”
Otuko accused his opponents of employing blackmail as a political strategy, which he claims has been a persistent issue for the past two years.
“I advise my opponents to focus on winning the votes of the people instead of wasting time with cheap blackmail,” he added.
In a shocking revelation, Otuko disclosed that he narrowly escaped an attempt on his life two weeks ago when someone unbolted his car tire, leading to a near-fatal accident on Tiriny Road.
“I survived by the grace of God. Doesn’t that show that I have divine protection?” he questioned, emphasizing the seriousness of the incident.
He further challenged his rivals to abandon underhanded methods and engage in an honest political contest.
“Candidates should be brave enough to face the people, not hide behind cheap politics,” Otuko stated.
The candidate also issued a stern warning to his opponents, encouraging them not to misinterpret his calm demeanor or apparent simplicity.
“Soon enough, they will realize that this time around, it’s a head-on collision in the polls,” he proclaimed, vowing to meticulously manage every aspect of the election process.
As the elections draw near, Otuko remains resolute, and his team exudes confidence in their path to victory.
Ultimately, it will be the voters who decide, but one thing is clear: Otuko will not be dissuaded by the tactics of cheap politics.
