In an interview after picking his nomination forms, Ogwang Obura Patrick, the aspiring MP for Oyam South, shared his vision for the constituency. He emphasized the need for inclusive development, focusing on women, youth, elderly, veterans, people with disabilities (PWDs), market vendors, and business owners.
“My vision is to empower women through skills training and financial support, create jobs and entrepreneurship opportunities for the youth, and provide social support and healthcare services for the elderly,” Ogwang said. He highlighted the importance of good roads, clean water, electricity, quality schools, and commercial agriculture.
When asked about his priorities, Ogwang stressed that “agriculture is the backbone of our economy.” He pledged to improve the road network, increase access to clean water and electricity, and promote commercial agriculture. Ogwang also emphasized the need for accessibility and inclusivity for PWDs and support for market vendors and business owners.
