Oyam’s Woman MP, Hon Santa Alum Ogwang, has made a generous donation of 265 iron sheets to two churches in Aleka sub county. The donation was delivered by her political assistant, Peter Odyek, who handed over 165 iron sheets to St. Mary’s Adoca Catholic Church in Alibi Parish and 100 iron sheets to Beri Mwolo PAG Church in Ajul Parish.
Odyek emphasized that this donation demonstrates MP Alum’s commitment to supporting God’s Ministry, and he encouraged Christians to pray for her in her future endeavors. MP Alum also cautioned voters against sectarianism and division, which could hinder the development of the district.
The recipients of the donation were thrilled and grateful for the timely support. Dicon Moses Ogwal, a Christian from Beri Mwolo PAG Church, expressed his appreciation and promised to work with fellow Christians to ensure the iron sheets are put to good use as soon as possible.
However, Hanna Consantino Ojok, another Christian from Beri Mwolo PAG, appealed for additional support from MP Alum and other well-wishers, highlighting the need for better infrastructure in many churches in the area.
This donation is not an isolated incident, as Oyam’s MPs have been known to support community development projects. For instance, Oyam North MP, Dr. Eunice Apio Otuku, recently donated 50 bags of cement worth UGX 1.6 million to St. John the Baptist Awelobutoryo Catholic Church.
