Papa Emorimor Paul Sande Etomeileng held a significant meeting with President Yoweri Museveni to discuss the forthcoming Ateker Reunion, scheduled for November in Soroti City. The meeting included a notable delegation comprising ICU Ministers, the Vice President, and representatives from Ethiopia Karamoja, government ministers, and South Sudan. The diverse representation underscores the importance of the reunion in fostering collaboration and cultural exchange among the attendees.
Papa Emorimor, known for his role as a unifier, emphasized the reunion’s potential to reinforce regional solidarity. He expressed gratitude to President Museveni for his continued support and for appointing members of the Iteso community to key positions in his government, including Edward Akol as Auditor General, the Vice President, and the Speaker.
