In a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), Patrick Ogwang Obura, aspiring MP for Oyam South, shared updates on key initiatives aimed at improving livelihoods in the constituency. He highlighted the ongoing Borehole Repairs project, noting that his team is actively working to restore access to clean water across all Sub Counties and Town Councils. Ogwang invited constituents to report any additional broken boreholes, emphasizing his commitment to ensuring no community is left behind.
He also updated followers on the progress of the Chicken Distribution program, which is designed to enhance food security and boost household incomes. The initiative, according to Ogwang, is part of a broader strategy to transform Oyam South into a money economy, aligning with President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni’s NRM development agenda.
Ogwang urged residents to take up poultry farming, piggery, goat rearing, dairy farming, and large-scale agriculture, emphasizing that these activities are crucial for reducing poverty, improving food security, and driving economic growth in the region.
