Patrick Ogwang Obura, a prominent figure in Oyam South, launches a groundbreaking poverty alleviation program tailored for religious leaders, recognizing their often-overlooked needs. Today, 52 households of catechists from Minakulu Catholic parish receive poultry donations, a significant milestone in Obura’s initiative.
This distribution of chicks, feeds, and farm inputs kickstarts Obura’s comprehensive effort to uplift religious leaders across denominations in Oyam South, acknowledging their pivotal role in community well-being.
“Religious leaders are the backbone of our communities, yet they are often neglected,” emphasizes Obura.
Beyond poultry donations, Obura leads projects to enhance overall welfare in Oyam South, from repairing boreholes for clean water access to constructing churches and sponsoring school fees for underprivileged children. His commitment to holistic development is unwavering.
“We cannot ignore the struggles faced by our religious leaders. It is our duty to ensure they have the resources to thrive,” asserts Obura, underscoring his dedication to uplifting the marginalized.
