President Yoweri Museveni will resume his nationwide Parish Development Model (PDM) performance assessment tour in Busoga Sub-Region from January 22 to 25, 2025. The four-day tour aims to evaluate the progress of the PDM program in the sub-region.
President Museveni’s schedule includes visits to PDM farmers in Namutumba, Luuka, and Jinja districts, including Buwala Tolofisa, Mr. Mukasa Eliot, and Mr. Kazibwe Micheal on Wednesday, January 22, 2025.
On Thursday, January 23, 2025, the President will engage in a live media interaction with journalists at Kityerera State Lodge, commission the Presidential Skilling Hub at Nakabango Jinja City, and address a public gathering at Lwanda Primary School. He will also meet with Busoga Sub-Region leaders at Mayuge district headquarters.
The President’s tour will continue on Friday, January 24, 2025, with the launch of construction works at Kimaka Airstrip, commissioning of the Abyssinia Steel Factory in Jinja, and addressing the Busoga region PDM public Rally at Kamuli Youth Center, Kamuli Municipality.
On the final day of his tour, Saturday, January 25, 2025, President Museveni will commission the New Tembo Steel Factory in Iganga, address a mega boda-boda rally at Iganga District Headquarters, and later address the nation at 8:00 pm at the Nakasero State Lodge.
The PDM program aims to uplift Ugandans from subsistence farming to commercial production. President Museveni’s visit is expected to inspire greater community participation and strengthen local development efforts in the Busoga Sub-Region.
