Kabuleta sayed that all along for three decades, president Museveni has failed to solve the unemployment problem in Uganda, the only achievement he celebrates today is grooming his son into a president and completely make Ugandans helpless servants of their dogmatic family.

Former presidential candidate, Joseph Kabuleta, has told the Ugandan youth to stand up and fight against President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni because he is the one making them poor in their own country.
According to Kabuleta, he is not happy with the way president Museveni is playing around the minds of Ugandans especially the youth who have now turned to be the beggars to him and the NRM government.
Kabuleta reacted to the president’s speech to the Youth during the International Youth day celebrations in Kabale district on Friday 18th last week, where he discouraged the youth from concentrating in politics.
President Museveni in his speech cautioned the youth leaders against being taken up by leadership, sectarianism, and politics of identity.
He compared Politics with medicine whereby if one does not get the correct diagnosis, the patient will die, and that is what he said is happening some countries like Niger, Mali, Burkina Faso, Central African Republic, Congo, Sudan, and Somalia.
The president boasted with his NRM Party which he claims had a correct diagnosis.
“Some of your elders were telling our people about tribes, and religion. For us, we said, that is a misdiagnosis. Our solution was to solve people’s problems irrespective of their tribes or religions. That’s how we are differed from those groups which emphasized politics of identity, for us we emphasized on interests, the president said”

The National Economic Empowerment Dialogue (NEED) party President Joseph Kabuleta totally fell apart with the statement of president Museveni.
Mr Kabuleta and other members of the party say that their disagreement with Museveni is drawn from the way social services are unfairly distributed in the Country.
“ In Mbarara alone, social service delivery is based on ethnic lines of Tutsi, Bahima, Bakiga and Banyankole who are direct relatives of Museveni and his tribes, the case is no difference with the Military rankings, and other big offices country wide”, he said.
“How can Museveni come and lough at the youth in the country by telling them not to eye at Politics as a job? Yet he is unveiling his son Muhoozi Kainerugaba to replace him as president, this statement of Museveni is a clear indicator that Ugandan youth have completely become political captives to Museveni and his family. If the Youth should not eye at Politics as a career, the let Museveni tell his son Muhoozi to stop running around the country for MK movement things”, he said.

Uganda held the National Youth day Celebrations in Kabale August 18th, 2023 under the theme “Accelerating Recovery from COVID – 19 and full implementation of the 2020 agenda.
Indeed, Covid-19 period completely handicapped the youth, Youth who were bread winners and most of them were no longer able to provide even basic needs like food to their families, Such situations seriously sparked big family misunderstandings and domestic violence.
Unemployment reached the higher climax especially in northern Uganda and most youth who could earn an income do so through small-scale trades such as selling food, hairdressing, welding and driving *boda-boda* motorcycles to transport goods and people.
All of these were closed at the onset of the lock-down in Uganda, when measures were put in place to stop the spread of Covid-19. Like many other countries, Uganda banned public gatherings and all public transport, closed schools and restricted movement between districts. It so far helped to keep the outbreak under control, but it inflicted hard impact on impoverished youth.
Kabuleta told this news agency that for Ugandan youth to fully recover from the biting impact of Covid – 19, Museveni should leave power and hand it to another leadership that is not greedy like him and his goons.
“Iwant to tell Ugandan Youth that be patriotic enough, real patriotism is when we all stand up and fight Museveni and his imperious son Muhoozi Kainerugaba”, he said.
He further said that for three decades now, president Museveni has failed to solve the unemployment problem in Uganda, the only achievement he celebrates today is grooming his son into a president and completely make Ugandans helpless servants of his dogmatic family.
