The operation wealth creation coordinator for WestNile region, Rtd Col Nelson Obiale was laid to rest on Saturday 13-4-2024 in Ala Lowa village, Anzuu Parish in Vurra Sub-county, Vurra Constituency.
Been father to Arua District Woman MP Hon Paparu Lillian, Rtd Col Nelson Obiale was born 5-April-1947 and died on 8-April-2024 after battling cancer of the esophagus and he left behind 8 orphans (6 females and 2 males).
Maracha District Woman MP Hon Driwaru Jennifer upon describing the funeral of Rtd Col Nelson Obiale as a result of education, she advised the young people in WestNile region to embrace education.
UPDF representative in the Eleventh Parliament, Maj Gen Sam Kavuma who also represented the CDF Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba and the National Coordinator for Operation Wealth Creation Gen Salim Saleh advised public servants to emulate the life of Col Nelson Obiale by always creating friends at work place instead of creating enemies.
Chief mourner at the funeral, Hon Obiga Mario Kania who is the MP for Terego East Constituency and also the State Minister for Lands, Housing and Urban Development described the late, Rtd Col Nelson Obiale as a peace maker.
The Bishop for Madi and WestNile Diocese, Rt Rev Collins Charles Andaku eulogized the late Rtd Colonel Obiale Nelson as a wise and instrumental man.
The funeral of the late Rtd Col Nelson Obiale attracted thousands of people including MPs, UPDF, Police, Technocrats, Clergies and many others across WestNile region and Uganda.
