    Moru Ikara, Kumi District – Atemo Mary Gorrety, a trailblazing leader from Moru Ikara village, is spearheading transformative initiatives aimed at reshaping the future of Kumi District. Armed with a Bachelor of Science in Business Statistics from Makerere University Kampala, Mary is leveraging her knowledge and passion to drive progress and uplift her community.

    Empowering Girl Power
    Mary is a fervent advocate for girl child empowerment, working tirelessly to encourage young girls to take on leadership roles. By breaking down barriers of gender inequality, she aims to cultivate a new generation of confident, capable female leaders.

    Igniting Youth Entrepreneurship
    Recognizing the immense potential of Kumi’s youth, Mary is mobilizing them to engage in small income-generating activities. Her goal is to equip young people with essential skills for economic survival and growth, fostering a thriving entrepreneurial spirit within the community.

    Launching the Kumi Development SACCO
    In a bid to bolster economic resilience, Mary is establishing the Kumi Development Savings and Credit Cooperative Organization (SACCO). This financial institution will provide critical support for business startups, education, and overall livelihood improvement, empowering residents with much-needed financial services.

    Revolutionizing Health and Education
    Committed to revolutionizing service delivery in health and education, Mary is advocating for better healthcare services and enhanced educational facilities. Her vision includes ensuring that every individual in the community has access to quality medical care and a conducive learning environment.

    Securing Educational Futures
    Understanding the transformative power of education, Mary is lobbying for scholarships for bright learners. By unlocking educational opportunities for talented students, she aims to nurture future leaders who will drive Kumi District’s development.

    Atemo Mary Gorrety’s visionary leadership is setting Kumi District on a progressive path to 2026. Her dedication to empowering girls, mobilizing youth, establishing financial support systems, and improving health and education services is paving the way for a brighter, more prosperous future for the community.
