Katakwi Police are currently investigating a case of aggravated defilement involving a 16-year-old girl that allegedly took place on January, 9 2025, at Akisim Toroma Primary School. The incident was reported by Elungat Moses, a 33-year-old peasant residing in Akoboi village, who is the victim’s uncle.
The victim, Apolot Susan, a student at Toroma Secondary School, disclosed that the accused, Emuron Isaac, a 34-year-old teacher at Akisim Toroma Primary School, invited her to his home, where he is alleged to have sexually assaulted her. Upon returning to her home, Apolot revealed the incident to her family.
On January 13, 2025, concerned for his niece’s safety, Elungat Moses reported the incident at Angodingodi Police Post, leading to the suspect’s arrest. Emuron was subsequently transferred to Katakwi Central Police Station for further interrogation.
The police emphasize the importance of timely reporting in such serious cases to secure vital evidence. Investigations are ongoing to uncover the full extent of the incident.
