Speaking to communities in Kaberamaido district, the State minister tasked the community members especially parents to begin raising staff houses for the teachers so that government can easily came in to their help.
Tesso Affairs Minister Dr Clement Ongalo Obote officially commissioning the two class room block and office.
The State minster for Teso Affairs Dr. Kenneth Ongalo Obote has asked members of rural communities to start raising staff houses for teachers.
He amplified this while Commissioning a two Classroom and office block in Alwa seed school, Alwa Sub County in Kaberamaido District.
Ongalo who represented the Prime Minister Robina Nabanja was received by the district leaders of Kaberamaido district local government and the entire community who witnessed the commissioning process.
Speaking to communities in Kaberamaido district, the State minister tasked the community members especially parents to begin raising staff houses for the teachers so that government can easily came in to their help.
“This is because the resources are limited from treasury however, the government is committed to ensuring that high quality education is accessible to every Ugandan child”, he said.
He commended the staff for jointly working with parents to set the standard of the school.
“when you see the standard work, it implies that the district has got committed and hardworking supervisors, if possible I ask the school administration to name one block after YK Museveni in memory of His excellency and also requested the parents to start the construction of teachers house up to ring bam then i will bring the iron sheets to complete the roofing” he said.

Mr. Francis Atubo the School head teacher expressed gratitude to the office of the prime minister through the Ministry of Teso Affairs for allocation of resources in the previous financial towards the construction of the 4 classroom block at a tune of shillings 300 million.
The chief Administrative officer Kaberamaido District local Government John Stephen kasadha has noted a continuous crisis at the school ranging from lack of staff accommodation, the library and staff room.
“We still aknowledge a continuous crisis in this school however, we pledge our total commitment as the district administration to continue supporting the study processes through continuous lobbying of resources”, he said.
Aluwa seed Secondary School was started by the community of Aluwa Sub – county in the year 2017 and later taken over by government as one of its aided secondary schools in Kaberamaido district and the school’s enrolment is currently 218 students from senior one to senior four.
