As the militant son of Uganda’s longest serving President Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba gets set to step onto the Teso land in the upcountry side seeking for fame ahead of his presidential bid, series of curtain raising activities are being held in the region to attract more numbers and popularize his candidature for presidency.
In this way, the serving general in the Uganda Military command forces will be officially unveiling his political intentions dubbed (MK MOVEMENT) to the people of Teso Sub – region like he has recently done in other parts of the country including Lango, Acholi, Ssebei, Buganda and Ankole.
For three weeks now, the entire districts of Teso have been busy and occupied with the MK football tournament as one of the mobilization strategies amidst the mini – rallies conducted in the entire districts of Teso in preparations for his historic coming.
The Drama and comedy stars, finest and local artists amongst other entertainment groups are already camped in the Teso’s City of Soroti in final preparations of the first son’s visit.
Anyone travelling from Lira to Mbale or vice -vasa can easily feel the atmosphere of the country’s VIPs visiting the region, and this can easily predict the colorful event attracting huge masses as expected at Soroti’s largest Sports grounds next week.
Peter Ogwang the state minister of Education in charge of Sports and the Chief Coordinator of the first son’s political mobilization in the Eastern Region of Uganda is currently camped in Soroti alongside his fellow members of Parliament including the Soroti City East Mp. Herbert Edmund Ariko, Patrick Aeku the Mp. Soroti County, Hellen Adoa the state Minister for Fisheries among others threading up the massive mobilization.

Ogwang told this website that he is tirelessly combing every part of the region to make sure that the visit of the president’s son turns into his political breakthrough in the region ahead of the 2026 polls.
“I onece again thank the first son for trusting me to be part of those standing next to him during the smooth and democratic power transition process, the MK movement Baraza in Teso welcomes all the citizens in the region and beyond to flock in huge crowds to physically see his face and interact with him”, he said.
