In the heart of Teso, a region rich in culture and community spirit, the Teso Youth Development Association (TEYODA) shines as a sign of unity and support. Registered as a sacco, TEYODA has made it its mission to promote togetherness and ensure the continuity of life’s important moments for its members.
Over the weekend, Mr. Ejoku Stephen, the esteemed President of the association, exemplified TEYODA’s ethos by accompanying Pastor Kenneth Okello to his introduction ceremony in Kamod, Kasilo County, Serere District. Amidst the joyous celebration, Mr. Stephen presented a cow as a heartfelt token of appreciation to the young couple, symbolizing the sacco’s unwavering support for its members in all facets of life.
TEYODA’s commitment to its members extends far beyond mere financial transactions. Since its inception four years ago, the sacco has evolved from focusing solely on burial social capital to embracing the joyous occasions of weddings and marriages. With a geographical reach stretching from Tororo to Katakwi, TEYODA has become synonymous with community solidarity throughout the motherland of Teso.
What sets TEYODA apart is its holistic approach to member welfare. Whether it’s providing financial assistance during challenging times or standing shoulder to shoulder in moments of celebration, TEYODA remains steadfast in its dedication to its members’ well-being.
Through its tireless efforts, TEYODA has become a trusted ally, a pillar of support, and a symbol of unity within the Teso community. As the sacco continues to grow and expand its reach, one thing remains certain
The dedication of the LC5 aspirant, combined with TEYODA’s community-driven approach, holds great promise for uplifting households across Soroti District. With their enthusiasm and commitment, they can make significant strides in improving livelihoods at the grassroots level, contributing to the overall development and prosperity of the district.
