Gather ‘round, folks, and hear the tale of Queen Acam Betty Okello, a shining star from Ateker Na’ ‘IRARAK Ikipitok ESAS’ in the illustrious Olukangor Okipitok village, Atoot Subcounty, Ngora District! Born to the legendary duo, Afande Okello Olupot Justine and Apoo Sarah, Betty was always destined for greatness.
Her academic journey kicked off at St. Claire Nursery and Primary School (2006-2008), where she mastered the basics, before moving on to Bukedea Life Line Nursery and Primary School (2009-2014), zooming through P.1 to P.6 like a scholastic superhero. In 2015, she took her talents to Najjera Primary School, Kampala, where she breezed through P.7.
But Betty didn’t stop there—oh no! She ascended to Bethany High School, Naalya, ruling the roost from S.1 to S.6 (2016-2022) and serving as Head Girl, showcasing her leadership skills that were sharper than a royal sword. Now, she’s tackling Public Administration and Community Development at Uganda Management Institute, because saving the world takes serious credentials.
Recently crowned Miss Tourism Teso 2024 at Cloud 9 Gardens in Soroti City, Betty is now set to represent Teso at the grand finale this September. The stakes are high, as the winner will go on to represent Uganda on the international stage.
So, warm up those voting thumbs and get ready to put a queen on the throne.
