Kwonga-Panyimur – Thousands gathered at Kwonga-Panyimur to mark the first anniversary of Rwot Stanley Ombidi, in a grand celebration that highlighted the unity and cooperation between government and cultural leaders. The event, graced by Hon. Fionah Nyamutoro, National Youth MP and Minister of State for Energy (Minerals), emphasized the importance of collaborative leadership.
Hon. Fionah Nyamutoro, the guest of honor, put emphasis to the significance of unity and cooperation between the government and the people, facilitated through cultural leadership. She stated, “The harmony between our government and cultural institutions is vital for the prosperity and well-being of our communities.”
The Woman MP Hon. Jane Avur Congratulated His Highness Stanley Ombidi for Making One Year in Office. Hon Avur reiterated the role of cultural institutions in the development of a young district like Pakwach.
RDC Paul Eseru, affectionately known as the “small-bodied man with a big engine,” echoed these sentiments. “The unity between government and cultural leaders is paramount for our people’s progress. It ensures that we can address community issues effectively and foster a sense of belonging among our citizens,” he remarked.
The anniversary celebrations included traditional dances, music, and speeches from various dignitaries, all paying tribute to the late Rwot Stanley Ombidi’s legacy. The event not only honored the past but also looked to the future, reinforcing the essential role of cultural leaders in guiding and uniting the community alongside the government.
