Toto Juliet Akaliait Emolot urged the Ateso speaking people embrace their cultural dressing and Ateso language in a bid to identify with their culture.
Addressing Christians of UTRO Catholic Church in Kayoro Sub county, Tororo South County, Tororo district on Wed 25th December 2024, where she joined the Christians for the Christmas service, the Queen Mother of Teso tipped Christian on the importance of dressing in cultural outfits.
“Cultural where is one way of inspiring the young people to fall in love with their culture, but also defines the uniqueness and the greatness of our tribe of Iteso”, she mentioned.
Adding, “ we feel United and stronger when dressed in cultural attire, I hereby implore you my dear people to portray the real values in our tradition of Iteso”.
Toto Akaliait also joined the congregation in bidding the farewell to Rev. Fr. Paul who has been transferred to Tanzania for a new role.
She in her appreciation message thanked the priest for the spiritual nourishment to the masses, hence leaving a great landmark in the entire Parish of Osia.
Toto Akaliait attended mass with the Royal Family that comprised of her sons and daughters.
