A fatal road accident today at around in Osuguro Village, near Odingo Health Center in Katakwi, claimed the life of Noah Emerikol, a boda boda rider from Bukedea District, Kamaca, Olumot Village.
Eyewitnesses reported that Emerikol was riding his motorcycle, registration number UEZ 466S, on his way to the ferry in Toroma when he collided with an unidentified cyclist. The cyclist fled the scene, abandoning their bicycle.
Emerikol was carrying a passenger named Asire, who had hired him to transport her tomatoes to Toroma yesterday. Due to the late hour, Emerikol had spent the night in Toroma and was returning to Bukedea when the accident occurred.
The police have since transported Noah Emerikol’s body from Toroma Health Center IV to Katakwi Hospital for a postmortem.
