In a bid to promote E-mobility and sustain the demand for electric vehicles, Government has production roll out of small electric vehicles comprising SUVs and pick ups for the local and international market.
This was announced at the Closing ceremony of Uganda Manufacturers Association (UMA) 31st Uganda International Trade Fair(UGITF) at The show grounds in Lugogo.
The show that’s been running from 2nd to 12th October 2025 under the theme “Sustainable Industrialization for Inclusive Growth, Employment and Wealth Creation” attracted about 5000 exhibitors and about 20000 entries daily.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, the Minister for Science, Technology and Innovation Information Monica Musenero says government is now focusing on attracting the private sector in joining the National vehicles manufacturers Kiiza motors to do the business.
