    Dear Residents of Serere,

Your participation in the upcoming census holds immense significance for the future development and well-being of our beloved Serere District. As representatives of the Serere District Local Government, we urge each and every one of you to ensure that you are counted during this crucial census period.

Why does it matter? Let us shed light on the pressing issues that underscore the importance of your participation:

    1. Need for a District Hospital:The growing population of Serere demands better healthcare infrastructure. With a current population of 384,000 residents, the establishment of a district hospital is not just a luxury but a necessity. A district hospital will provide comprehensive medical services closer to home, ensuring timely and efficient healthcare delivery for all.

    2. Health Centre 4 in Pingire:As mandated by law, every county deserves access to a Health Centre 4. Pingire County is no exception. Elevating the Pingire Health Centre 3 to a Health Centre 4 status is vital to enhance healthcare accessibility and address the needs of the local community effectively.

    3. Improved Budget Allocation:Your participation in the census directly influences budgetary allocations for essential services and infrastructure development. By accurately counting the population, we can advocate for increased resources to meet the growing needs of Serere District, including healthcare, education, roads, and more.

    4. Infrastructure Development: Serere District is in need of improved infrastructure, including tarmac roads, to facilitate better connectivity and access to essential services. Your participation in the census will contribute to data-driven decision-making, enabling us to prioritize and allocate resources where they are most needed.

We understand the challenges faced by our residents, including the inconvenience of traveling long distances for medical care. By being counted in the census, you are not only ensuring that your voice is heard but also paving the way for positive change and development in our district.

    AUD-20240509-WA0034

As the Secretary of Finance, Planning, and Administration for the Serere District Local Government, I implore you to take part in the census. Your contribution matters, and we are counting on you to shape the future of Serere District.

Together, let us build a healthier, more prosperous, and resilient Serere District. Be counted, for Serere District will count on you.

    Opio Joseph Linos
Secretary of Finance, Planning, and Administration
    Serere District Local Government
