In a vibrant display of civic engagement, residents of Usuk County flooded the streets on Wednesday as their MP, Hon Bosco Okiror, spearheaded the NRM membership verification process. The streets were awash with yellow NRM shirts as enthusiastic supporters marched alongside their beloved leader, chanting slogans of unity and progress.

The journey from Hon. Bosco’s residence to the verification center in Akisim village resembled a jubilant parade, with a convoy of motorcycles adding to the festive atmosphere. This remarkable turnout underscored the community’s commitment to the democratic process and their trust in the NRM party.

Addressing the crowd, MP Bosco expressed his gratitude to President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for initiating the verification exercise, emphasizing its role in ensuring transparent and fair elections by minimizing irregularities. He urged all eligible voters, aged 18 and above, to participate actively in the process, echoing the spirit of inclusivity and democracy.

In a gesture of goodwill, Hon. Bosco extended an invitation to Mayor Okot Simon Peter, representing the FDC, to join the NRM party, emphasizing the importance of political unity for the region’s development.

During the verification process, MP Bosco reassured constituents about impending road construction projects in Usuk town council, highlighting ongoing efforts to improve infrastructure and enhance connectivity within the community. He also reaffirmed his commitment to supporting local initiatives, such as women’s groups, and announced plans to alleviate the financial burden on expectant mothers by providing essential maternity equipment to healthcare facilities across the county.

In a poignant moment of solidarity, Hon. Bosco visited the bereaved family of late Agan in Okibui Parish, offering condolences and financial support for burial expenses. His presence underscored his dedication to serving the needs of his constituents beyond political mandates.

Highlighting his advocacy for maternal health, MP Okiror announced the procurement of maternity equipment for multiple hospitals in Usuk County, emphasizing the importance of safe delivery practices and accessible healthcare services for expectant mothers. His proactive approach to addressing community needs resonated with residents, reaffirming his status as a compassionate and effective leader.

As the NRM verification drive continues nationwide, Usuk County stands as a shining example of civic participation and political engagement, with Hon. Bosco Okiror leading the charge towards a brighter, more prosperous future for all.
