Youth across Katakwi district Teso region have endorsed VP Alupo as their sole candidate come 2026 general elections.
A total of over 3,000 youth endorsed the Vice President of Uganda who also doubles as woman member of parliament for Katakwi district Maj Rtd. Jessica Alupo as their sole candidate for woman Member parliament for Katakwi come 2026 general elections due to her outstanding and exceptional works.
Aportion of the youth while addressing the media with there district youth leader, Stephen Otukei in Katakwi where they were gathered said Hon Alupo has made history by adding Teso and Katakwi district on the map for being the first Atesot to be appointed vice President, the second highest office in the country.
Robert Okurut, a resident from Ngariam County described the vice President as a person who’s down to earth, adding that while at her home village she even plays football with boys and first ju game of girls unguarded.
“We love her, she is not a segregative woman, she is so approachable and hard working.” said Okurut.
Betty Akarieut from Usuk county said the actions of the vice president are so unique in a way that she does not quarrel with anyone who fights her.
“We are all aware that many leaders of Teso are fighting her but she’s not bothered she’s upto delivering service to her people of Katakwi,Teso and the country at large.” She said.
Pascal Ekelot who hails from Toroma county said whoever tries to cross in front of the vice president this time will be knocked down and crushed in the ballot paper.
“We determined to bring down those who are fighting the vice president, we shall not allow this embarrassment by our own people, just watch the space.” said Ekellot.
The youth also hailed the various developmental programs and projects that have been commissioned by the vice president saying if not for her being the Vice president and District woman member of parliament would not be seen in Katakwi.
Steven Otukei the Katakwi District Youth Councillor, assured the youth of progress urging them to prioritise HE Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and the Vice Jessica Alupo come 2026.
“This is our time, channel anything through me and our Toto VP will respond immediately.’’ said Otukei
