The Vice President Maj. (Rtd) Jessica Alupo has arrived in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia to represent President Yoweri Museveni at the Ordinary session of African Union Executive Council and the 37th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of the Heads of State and Government of the African Union.
On Friday, Alupo was received at Bole International Airport by H.E. Dr. Ergoge Tesfaye, the Minister for Women and Social Affairs of Ethiopia, Gen. Jeje Odongo, Uganda’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, Rebecca Otengo, Uganda’s Ambassador to Ethiopia and other dignitaries.
The meetings are scheduled to take place as follows: 14 – 15 February 2024: 44th Ordinary Session of the Executive Council (Ministerial Session)
17-18 February 2024: 37th Ordinary Session of the AU Assembly (Heads of State and Government Session)
The Summit is running under the theme: ‘Educate an African fit for the 21st Century: Building resilient education systems for increased access to inclusive, lifelong, quality, and relevant learning in Africa’.
