The territorial police of Kumi District have commenced the investigations in to the alleged murder involving two juveniles which occurred on Wednesday afternoon at Auruku Ominai primary school, ogoma sub county kumi District
The deceased identified as Titin Jane a 14 year old is a primary five pupil at and a resident of Nyero in Kumi District.
The eye witnesses narrate that the deceased and a colleague were playing in class when they picked up a disagreement that advanced into a scuffle, this prompted one Etiang Ivan to box the deceased on the breast leading to her collapse.
The Head Teacher of the school upon receiving the information, rushed with the deceased to Nyero health center III where she was pronounced dead by the medical officer.
The relatives of the deceased on getting the information about the death of their daughter mobilized Immediately and went to attack the family of the suspect and looted several property including un specified number of goats sheep and cows as well as burning a number of temporal and semi temporal houses.
The East Kyoga Regional Spokesperson ASP Obukulem Edison has confirmed the incident as police probe the mudder of the girl where they are currently holding a prime suspect Identified as Etyang Ivan, a 13 year old primary five pupil and a resident of Nyero in Kumi District.
The Body of the deceased was taken to Atutur Hospital mortuary for postmortem.
“We would like to caution the members of the public to always desist from taking the law into their hands”, Obukulem said..
