In a surprising turn of events, Vice President Maj. (Rtd) Jesca Alupo Epel has gone unopposed for the position of Katakwi District NRM Chairperson for Veteran Affairs. Her two rivals, Rtd. Col. Amodoi Ikomaileng and Pvt. Joseph Ikabat, withdrew from the contest, citing their allegiance to their senior officer.
The development comes as a blessing in disguise, as today happens to be VP Alupo’s birthday. The gesture is seen as a testament to her leadership and the respect she commands among her peers.
With no opposition, VP Alupo’s path to the position is now clear. Her experience and dedication to veteran affairs will undoubtedly serve the district well.
The Patriots News administration and all staff wish Her Excellency a blessed birthday and a successful journey in her leadership role, filled with wisdom, clarity, and vision. May her tenure be marked by progress, unity, and prosperity for the people of Katakwi District. Congratulations to VP Alupo on this special day and on this well-deserved recognition.
