The Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) district leaders including chairpersons and secretaries from 113 districts have issued a 48-hour ultimatum to their party Chairman, Wasswa Birigwa demanding the cancellation of an Extraordinary Meeting scheduled for September 19, 2023. The National Identification and Registration Authority (NIRA) has prohibited public from the use of National Identification cards as security for loans. The directive was on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 pronounced by the directorate of Legal affairs – NIRA in a press release. The Minister for Works and Transport Gen. Katumba Wamala has told Ugandans not to worry about the fire outbreak reported on Wednesday Morning at Entebbe Airport.
